Students work in groups taking on research, design, project management and client communication to complete projects with on-campus clients. Class meetings begin either with a standup meeting or a critique. Multiple projects run simultaneously, emulating studio practice, which allows all students to be involved in a variety of projects and take on multiple roles.
Students use and evaluate contemporary tools for work including Slack, Miro, Basecamp, and shared Google Drives in addition to industry standard digital design software. Students estimate project work and track the time they spend against estimates. We practice some agile methods and ceremonies as appropriate to help approximate how digital design and development teams work today.
